A study on the structure-property relationship of a new alloy manufactured by AM process.
Recently, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of KAIST has developed new Ti alloys for AM to obtain isotropic microstructures after directed energy deposition (DED) using the Insstek's machine. By changing the as-deposited microstructure from columnar to equiaxed, we were able to obtain isotropic tensile properties.
